Nursery Admissions ​

At Blackwood Primary School, we offer places in our Nursery setting for children over 3 years old. They will be able to start with us, the first term after their 3rd birthday. ​

Reception Admissions

​Children begin primary school at the start of the school year in which their fifth birthday falls (i.e. 1 September to 31 August inclusive).

You must apply for their place, even if they already attend Nursery here at Blackwood Primary. ​

Admission to Reception September 2023

Applications are now open for you to apply for a place in one of our Reception classes for 2023. Please visit the CCBC Website - www.Caerphilly.gov.uk/schooladmissions

Please note the closing date for applying is 16th December 2022.

Year 6 Admission to Comprehensive

Year 6 pupils must apply for their place at comprehensive school.

This usually takes place in the Autumn Term. A link will be posted here when applications are open. ​

Transferring to Blackwood Primary School ​

If you would like to transfer your child to our school, you will need to complete an application for a school place following the same link as above. ​
